COME AND VISIT US
By visiting The Wooden Boat Centre, you are ensuring the continuation of the traditional craft of wooden boatbuilding now and in the future.
Ticket sales directly supports teaching the next generation of wooden boatbuilders.
Tours
Join one of our volunteer guides for a tour through the workshop and history of wooden boatbuilding.
We invite you to understand what drives our passion. You will gain an understanding of the rich background of Australia's premier wooden boat centre, as well as Franklin's maritime history. Learn tall tales and true from our volunteer guides about the precious boat building timbers that are found exclusively in Tasmania, and tour the interpretive area and workshop where boats that are currently under construction and restoration can be seen.
Guided Tours take around 40 minutes and generally run on demand.
