For Sale: Drift Boat
Recently launched at the 2025 Australian Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart, our very own Drift Boat! Under guidance of boat builder Jack, our students Brett, David, Russell and Tarn built this versatile vessel in an eight-week dinghy build course.
Inspired by the McKenzie River Drift Boat, the students have created a fisherman’s best companion. The Drift Boat finds its origin in the North American fur-trading days of the early 1800’s. Drift boats are a fantastic tool for river fishing, offering a smooth, stable ride with its flat bottom and high, flared sides. Built to perform, this drift boat is supported by fibreglass to ensure long lasting enjoyment.
Previously on display at The Wooden Boat Festival in 2025, this fisherman’s dream is now ready for a life of adventure.
